Smart City Expo & World Congress 2011
Ilux Visual Technologies will be next week in the first edition of Smart City Expo & World Congress held in Barcelona from November 29 to December 2. The company will have its own space at the event venue as an exhibitor as a member of the strategic alliance group Sustinere. (Gran Vía, Hall 2, Level 0, Street E, Stand 530).
During the days the event last, Ilux will have the opportunity to show visitors its developments in the field of advanced visualization applied to smart cities management.
SmartCity Expo & World Congress will count with keynote speakers and leading representatives with the most innovative ideas with the most representative companies in the sectors of the themes which the conference focused on: energy and sustainability, urban planning and ICT infrastructure, governance and funding, environment, mobility and transport, cities and people and living.

Water Visualization and Management at the IV PTEA Meeting
ILUX Visual Technologies will show its development projects in Water Visualization and Management at the IV PTEA Meeting. Water Country Project.
"Instrumentation and implementation of the Spanish Strategy for R&D in water (ΣH2O) The Fourth Meeting of the PTEA will give a boost to water projects on the basis of the Spanish Strategy for R&D on the Water Sector (ΣH2O), development of the State Innovation Strategy (E2I), which was approved by the PTEA in constituent assembly and that is the result of an intensive work of integration and open to all users and stakeholders in the water sector to achieve a common, coherent and solid strategy which is achieving a progress in the development of new technological solutions for more efficient use and management of water in Spain.

2011 ICT Best Business Initiative
Ilux Visual Technologies has been awarded with the Prize to the BEST 2011 BUSINESS INITIATIVE IN THE ICT SECTOR given by the Galician Telecommunications Engineers Association (COETG-AETG) and sponsored by the Foundation Engineer Gerardo García Campos
It is recognition to an innovative and emerging business project in the field of Information Technology and Communications, ICT. The deciding factors in the Jury decision for conferring Ilux Visual technologies project this honour were the introduction of ICT in traditional processes and the market development in wide fields oriented to exportations.
The Awards Ceremony will take place during the course of the Galician ICT Night 2011, on October 21th at the Gran Hotel La Toja, in O Grove (Pontevedra).
Ilux Visual Technologies gets this award for an R&D project based on the development of integrated management systems and visualization of geographic information systems that serve as control interfaces to different entities but also allow access to certain information to citizens through different display interfaces. Basing projects on three basic requirements, interactivity, real time and high resolution, these systems open up a wide range of potential development opportunities to different organizations and institutions, being special interest areas the territory visualization, engineering, architecture but also the tourism, cultural and heritage sectors.
The developed projects provide a global solution not only in terms of visualization, but also in terms of management of massive amounts of data and study of variants. Good management and organization of these data greatly facilitates the infrastructure visualization, reporting, the study of alternatives in engineering, architecture and city planning and ultimately the decision-making.
