INTERACTIVE MULTITOUCH
Interactive 3D visualization of
the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

This is a museum installation based on a multitouch system where the user interacts with his hands on the screen with a three-dimensional virtual model of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. At the same time the user can access to specific relevant information of elements of the basilica.

In a first approach, the user accesses to the environment and the old city of Santiago de Compostela in three dimensions locating it geographically as the place where different pilgrimage ways converge.

From there the user can access to a detailed three-dimensional model of the cathedral where you can see the main building elements and stylistic details.

Through the interface the visitor interacts with its hands with the virtual model of the Cathedral, being able to explore it and analyze it by different methods such as zoom, pan, rotate and section in any plane in real time.
